Tithing may be the most maligned doctrine in the church: the hoodwinked syndrome developers have cleverly engrained a series of deceptions that subordinates a response that is mostly halfhearted at best. The reasoning that comes forth as an excuse for avoiding this blessing often is dismissed that tithing is a work of the law, that’s Old Testament stuff, or they can’t afford even if it’s only 10% on what the Lord has prospered them.
Sadly, not tithing is an act that literally opposes oneself given the enormous blessings associated to tithing to your church local fellowship: we’re talking about the windows of heaven open to them and really anyone in the spire of influence surrounding the tither. Knowing that less than 10% of those attending their local fellowship tithe faithfully, that speaks volumes to the effectiveness that infiltrates the church structure.
Even God’s direct accusation that they are robbing God himself: this doctrinal challenge is often ignored due to the devil’s accusations of the hoodwinked syndrome; that the pastors may not spend their money properly (forgetting it isn’t their money) but God’s. The challenge of letting go of hard cash for God’s church is were the rubber meets the road with the operation of faith: the consequences are profound and hinders the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
The resignation of not tithing is the very act that God calls his people to turn from that he might heal their land. Wonder how we ended up as a nation conquered from within, every institution infiltrated by evil, look to the church limited abilities to provide to all. God does nothing outside his church and if we are depending on the arm of evil to provide what the church would and will do to the best of its ability, we certainly need to find healing.
The conclusions and the sum of the matter is we have a great high priest that we recognize through tithing, Jesus is come and is the head of a very real church. We encourage his people to repent and find a fellowship church they will faithfully tithe to and if you cannot find a church, start one.
